ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX CALL FOR VIDEO ARTISTS
ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX, an avant-garde contemporary classical music and multimedia consort, seeks video/ multimedia artists for collaboration in its upcoming seasons for performances in multiple venues throughout the U.S. Video and multimedia artists creating works with an aesthetic resonating with the ensemble’s sound and aesthetic vision are invited to apply for paid video commissions and the opportunity to work with the ensemble live (should the artist be interested in live performance) or remotely.
ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX performs 20th century masterworks alongside 21st century, avant-garde music, with many pieces commissioned and premiered by the group every season. You may view the ensemble’s videos on its YouTube channel:

While there are no specific aesthetic criteria for submissions, E/P performances generally feature video art which tends to be abstract and not of the anime or documentary variety. The compositions featured at concerts vary in terms of style, and generally range between 6-20 minutes. Artists invited to work with E/P will be requested to create works for specific pieces in a collaborative manner, which may involve extensive dialogue and renderings with respect to the type of art to be created for the given piece.
